iron hearted sloth

convulsions in the temple
vomiting the shadow of my soul,
i had nothing more to give the moon,
after breaking holy vows
in the woodland with the sky
watched by a thousand ancients
needing voyeurism in their bones,
as a pathway to love,
bleak sonnets pass my lips
knelt in this loneliness,
in my ear
her voice crawled dusky
cloth to my senses,
as i wished to suspend myself
from a high bough
and linger in highest isolation,
that perfume creeps out of
your robe wrapped tight
my stillness dispels
endurance is not a beauty
lowering myself to your lips
sour kisses known to be daring,
i became a louse burrowing,
my sloth tendencies gone,
robe discarded
burnt confection of passion
hazed and forlorn
no more regurgitation
my eyes flared in their sockets
loins raw and slimed,
forgetting would be easier
as i click on the television

on notable sea

tone dialing remedy

better than those gulls

filling the air with

pull of sea,

encroaching on ears

cochlea tremors

insistent and provocative,

life needed to be in boxes

without labels,

identifying was not the issue

it was separation,

the telephone a child

cradled under chin

suckling on words,

spectacles perched with vertigo

on top of a crooked nose,

lips always poised

to speak but that was of

no consequence as sound

could carry further than voice,

a scream long prolonged

that was what pain brought,

gulls worse than cicadas

blood curled into fingers

then returned leaving them white

and grasping

still nothing,

slit your veins and fill a boat

with a swilling legacy

of something that

should of been,

letting gulls fall

bathing feathers redder

freeverse, poetry , poem

tangier peanut butter

cloud closed eyelids

break down

frustration bites,

from the hearth of the desert

to letters written on a distant bed,

bleached warm animals move

still connected to womb,

she smelled the colors,

and aeroplane’s shipwrecked

in the sky

poured contents on golden wings,

there was a pirate sea

somewhere beyond her once

found intimacy now left,

forgotten sand buried

yellow dune sea,

hominid apes search

closed eyelids sealed

not with tears,

just a low iridescence of pain

on the weight of the wind,

she remained infirm

on the mattress

her spine left damaged footprints

yet something lifted

drunk on air

feast on breast before

dissolved with fire

palm fronds part,

as she sought his lips again
