Pages have been silent , poetry settled hibernating in its own nest of growing existence , other words have escaped beyond borders and territories dramatic arcs to be filmed on flickering silver screen those words I am embracing , those words are my life blood.
I sit back this Christmas morning and think of you all
when your home is not
a protective shelter to dignity and heart,
where government scythes away
public voices in favour of a few,
nervous rattle of doors
closing on opportunities
for those we should cherish,
disabled now disenfranchised
workless sanctioned and berated
for just existing,
statistics and targets
media fodder,
minimum wage hunter gatherers
chasing food bank trails
as rent arrears accumulate,
things are getting brighter
economy booming,
so some say
a cautious tale of cynicism
is needed to chew on this pill
of crushed realisations,
we have awoken
but not awake
written in response to the Conservatives taking victory in the elections and Cameron claiming power again
mersey moonlight and shine
across the hills
to river dee,
wind whispers
in the trees and grass,
of park
and shipyard sinew,
bricks of sweat and toil,
urban sprawl,
where smugglers coins
fell to sand,
lighthouse flickers
seen by little eye,
sandstone tremors
and gentle veil of mist,
i feel home
cradled by the lake
and shivering masts
of a yachting few

my mersey spine
back and tail
to my wirral home,
breathing over welsh hills
with ebb n flow of dee,
ferry lights
liver city waterfront,
this place so green and urban
has a pull
that lingers
to those toiling at sea
or travelling afar,
landscape pulls you back,
thors stone
lighthouses on the shore,
sandstone peninsula
of ancient times,
from road or motorway
distinctive in it’s way
born from the hundred,
Wirral
it stands
this place
my home
Still busy filming around Liverpool and The Wirral , a place soon to be bustling for the Golf Open at Hoylake, the first image is at St Georges Hall in Liverpool a beautiful building showing how versatile the city is for filming and such great architecture
Also heard that Hadlow Road was used this is a restored railway station part of the old track forms a great walk called the Wirral Way
More and more production companies are heading here and if i can get any more information will let you know.

After Morse we got Foyle’s War now filming it’s 9th Season in Liverpool which stands in for London and on the Wirral where my wife and i caught with them in West Kirby our hometown, setting up camp in the car park near to Morrisons Car Park, caterers and props offloaded, we have a diverse location here Paul Bettany’s Blood was filmed here and on the Wirral some parts of Fast and The Furious 6 although i have to say a Morris 8 would not out run a Dodge Challenger but it has as much style.
Set in the turbulent era of the Cold War following on from the war it will be interesting to see the locations and how they are utilised , Hilbre Island is a big attraction so it is possible they would use this before the fracking starts.
Below are the first images i have captured and hopefully i might get some more as Acorn Productions progress with filming.
Austin Seven and Morris 8 no sign of Rileys or Bentleys did see what looked like Daniel Weyman in costume in a Chrysler Voyager

In memory of my Dad , Ivan Hare father and friend always filled with a diverse wisdom and a knowing way , transformed lives with kindness and openess, a great man. I have great memories my mum ,sisters and i survive yet in that peculiar way he does as well at our side as he always will be.
These are my feelings i am sure shared with my family
night has a cheap aluminum taste
that wakes me from the shallows
passing the border post,
into shrugged wakefulness,
i am not afraid of dentists drill
yet i am of this day
holding on by tips of my fingers
dropping into a place still dark,
i will find my way
walking not flying,
tied by blood to a long memory,
rain upon the iron tracks
a platform for the coming back
but i know of no return journeys
when passage is paid,
despite this a silent hand can be held
and forehead kissed,
locomotive rush across interior landscapes
carriage rattle and sway
memories may mumble
but they are heard and felt,
native tongue
and lyrical words
he may be gone
but not silenced
remember tea and hot buttered toast
smell, feel, dream
aluminum leaves my mouth
with each cup of coffee,
he is with me now
and i do not have to worry
Love you Dad miss you this year on , thinking of my Mum and sisters Sandra and Lana
5th December when out of the ordinary high tides and 70mph winds led to the sea tearing into West Kirby, also hit was New Brighton , Hoylake and Parkgate
